Our room was clean and comfortable. The one downside was that it overlooked the pool so we heard all the kids playing until it closed at 10 p.m. and I would have asked for a different room if I'd known about that. We didn't stay for the breakfast because we had to be somewhere but we would have if we were able. We'd definitely stay there again. It's a comfortable hotel in a convenient location.
The staff was amazing. Renovations going on, but it was decent. Rooms were clean and lots of outlets. Everyone made sure we enjoyed our stay.
Really enjoyed the Irish pub for dinner. The room s great except for the barn style door to the washroom. No lock and about an inch gap did not feel comfortable using it
We traveled here in a group of 21 people. Found out upon arrival that Holiday Inn did not have the reservation made 9 months in advance. (Our tour director had a signed copy of agreement signed by a former staff member of Holiday Inn.) Our group arrived at 8:00 in the evening, rooms not ready, we could not get into rooms until about 10:00 pm. Bar not staffed to accommodate group for dinner. Next day our group was called to hotel from nearby town because hotel wanted to talk with our guide. We waited from 3:00 until 5:45 to find out that we could not stay the night and had to bus us 120 miles to Niagara Falls to another hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!
We had our wedding in Auburn and had room blocks at the Holiday Inn as well as our 'renovated' suite. The sales person who set up our room block told me 8 months prior to our wedding that she would also book us a suite and that we were all set. When I called a month before our wedding I was told that no suite had been booked for us. Luckily I had to double checked and there was one available. I figured that a renovated suite would be very nice for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in, but the room was disappointing. The ceiling was painted an ugly salmon color and it made the room feel very small. The wall color was kind of cold like a jail cell, the lighting wasn't great, and the renovations just seemed kind of careless. The wallpaper didn't look smooth and it didn't quite meet the ceiling, and there were many other details that made the room seem haphazard. It made me very disappointed that I didn't find something much nicer for my wedding day. My matron of honor had to stay in a room that smelled like musty cigarette smoke, a fight broke out and the police were banging on doors which woke up many of our guests, and the rest of the hotel just seemed dreary even with the renovations. The staff was friendly, but otherwise this hotel was not the classiest.
