On the way to NYC our bus randomly shut down in the middle of the Interstate! Here we are going 60 in the middle lane and then poof! No more power! We ended up half in the outer lane half off the road just sitting there. It was terrifying; imagine being trapped sitting on the Interstate just an hour outside NYC! A police man was kind enough to give us a shove so we were at least off the road. We then spent TWO HOURS waiting there for another buss, no air-conditioning in 85 degree weather. Your only choice to cool off was to go stand next to the bus, on the Interstate, not the safest option. We had no water, no food, and the toilets were not working.

Travel often with Onondaga and they offer the best tours! Very enjoyable trips. They keep updating some of the same destinations so that it doesn't get old. Especially looking forward to the Philly Flower show next year. Love the changes and obviously so do many others since it's almost sold out!
We went for a day trip to NYC 12/17 The driver was polite and knowledgeable so i didn't really have an issue with that. The weather was not great but the bus ended up being almost 30 minutes late picking us up and then took us almost an extra 2 1/2 hours to get there! We Also ended up having to stop and sit with another bus on the tour to help them with a wiper blade! They said there would be ports to charge phones on the bus and they didnt work....80% of the people on the bus had to walk around NYC with a dead phone! now we are not getting the full 8 hours we paid for...and I had to sit in a sandwich shop for a 1/2 hour to get a charge on my phone to be able to take the pictures I wanted. And one last thing they say they will play holiday movies...what they mean by that is ONE movie they will play numerous times...VERY unorganized! Not impressed AT ALL and don't think I will be doing one with this company very soon. Such a shame!
My experience with this company was horrible! First of all it says there are power outlets on the bus for the use of patrons. Well the outlets are only in every SIXTH seat so most of the bus cannot access them.
Very frustrating that they have a great trip to the Philly Flower show, always a full bus for it, and they are inconsistent in offering it. Last year on the way home the trip leader, Connie, asked if anyone wanted to change it up a bit and EVERYONE on the FULL bus agreed it was perfect as it was and asked her not to change anything - but is seems this year they have made such drastic changes that a whole bunch of us will be looking for another way to get there.
Once on the new bus we headed out to the city unfortunately, the bus we were on was not very nice and the driver actually scraped another bus on the way to our drop off! Then on the insistence of one of the passengers he left us in a random location in Manhattan, not at the drop off! We were scheduled to get to NYC at 10:45 am but got there closer to 2pm! A third of our trip wasted! When I called to ask what the company would do about it they gave us $20 each because we got to NYC and back again. Apparently, $20 is all our customer satisfaction was worth to them.
Recently enjoyed a trip to NYC and had a great time! Our driver was professional and timely, and the charter escort kept us updated with fun facts along the way. Would take another trip again soon!
