Well, I was reluctant to walk into this store, as 2 yrs ago I was looking for a recliner and walked around the store for 15 minutes while the employees talked to each other. However, I was in search of a specific piece of furniture and had looked high and low and their store was my last hope of getting the piece I needed in the time I needed. Indeed, I did find the piece there. We came to pick the piece up near closing time on the Saturday before Christmas. I went inside to pay and my husband drove back to the loading dock. One employee assisted me as the other went to the back to help load the piece. I completed the sale and waited near the front of the store (inside) for my husband to pull around. The employee came from the back and said to the one I had finished the sale with, "That idiot asked me if he could carry that piece in his house by himself!" I thought to myself, there must be another customer back there with a smaller piece, how rude! The employees were in an office out of my view, but no doors so I could hear everything they were saying. The 2nd employee said, "yea, I know, he asked me about the scratches on the top, I told him it was the 'weathered, antiqued look'! Of course there's scratches dummy, it's a floor model!" Now my blood was boiling as I knew my husband had a conversation similar with the salesman. They did not stop there. The one that had helped my husband load the piece (not really helped, scraped the bottom of it while shoving it on the concrete floor and when my husband said something about it, he said, it's a solid piece, it'll be fine) said, "that guy doesn't even have the sense to strap it down, it's standing up in the back of the truck with no straps" when in fact it was strapped down. Now, this piece needed to have exact measurements so I had spoken on the phone with the salesman about them but also brought my tape measure when we came but could not measure it myself as they already had it shrink wrapped. So the guy that helped load the piece said, "What was that lady saying to you when she came in?" The salesman said "That crazy woman wanted to measure it again, I already measured it ten times for her!" At this time, I was no longer looking out the window for my husband, but towards the office waiting for these two jerks to come out. They even made comments we never said, mocking us saying "oooohhhh, we've got cash" which we did but never asked for a discount for it or even told them how we were paying before we got there. My husband came around the side of the building their office was on, so they saw him first and started walking out of the office, one saying, "I dare him to call me and tell me there's one scratch on that thing." At this point, I was beyond mad, and if there had been ANYWAY I could have gotten this piece from ANYWHERE else (I even looked in Rochester/Buffalo, etc.), I would have told them to take it and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I did say, "Maybe you should make sure your customers are out of the store before you start talking s**t about them." He stammered and said, I was just commenting on how he didn't have the piece setting right in the truck. I said "Bulls**t, I heard every d**n word you said the entire time!!" I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE!!! After talking to a few local people, I'm pretty sure one of the men was the owner!
